iPad mini has a black screen can not get anything no apple logo. When I plug it in it did make a sound.l

Having a problem with my mini latest version. Was using it no problems had 98% charge put cover on when I went to use it later about half hour the screen was black I did try to charge it but nothing happene. Tried to charge later heard a ping when I pluged it in but nothing on the screen. Would it be a bad battery.

FFollow the direcations here If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn't respond or doesn't turn on - Apple Support if you don't get it to work bring it in to an Apple Store.

Try holding both the Home button and Sleep/wake buttons for at least 10 seconds or until the apple logo appears on the screen. That will reset things and reboot the OS. If that fails to work, then you may need to take it to the Genius Desk.
