Why do some apps say "update" or "install" and shouldnt.

Why do some apps in the store button says "update" but they are not in the update tab. Also, when I click "update" nothing happens?

I also have a similar thing with install. Some apps button says "install" but it is already installed. When you click on install it seams to update it.
