Hello sheepdogbrady,


After reviewing your post, it sounds like the computer is showing a blue screen. Is this happening a startup? I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.


Try safe mode if your Mac doesn't finish starting up - Apple Support

About the screens you see when your Mac starts up - Apple Support

The background at any stage of the startup process can be blue, black, or gray.
