Can anyone tell me what does the apple hardware test error 4HDD/11/40000000:SATA(0,0).

I run the apple hardware test which give the result as:

Alert! Apple Hardware Test has detected an error

Can anyone explain what does this error means? I think this error relates to Hard disk. Can anyone explain in details?

Your guess is a good one, there is a connection problem to the HDD. There may be a fault with the HDD or with the SATA connection cable.

Take out the HDD, install it in an enclosure, connect it to the MBP via USB. If it boots the MBP, the problem is with the cable. If it does not boot the MBP or is not recognized, the HDD is at fault.
