disk 3 kernel i/o error

I use Parallels. It makes a large pvm file. MIne stopped working. I tried to move it but Mac won't let me due to corruption. Turns out there is a kernel i/o error that seems to only be affecting the disk where this file is. Any idea how to fix this so I can get this file to work... or at least move it?
