I lost my iPhoto application in an accidental uninstallation operation. Downloaded Yosemite in recovery operation. Now iPhoto is missing. Does Photo replace it, or do I need to reinstall a new iPhoto application?

If you previously purchased iPhoto, it should be in your App Store Purchases list. If you don’t see it, it may be under Hidden Purchases. You can try downloading it from there.
By default, iPhoto is not available for OS X 10.10.3 users.

You can use the new Photos app or look on your Purchases list at the app store for the option to install iPhoto.
