My custom grade preset freezes fcpx when i try to use it

When i go to my saved custom color preset in the effect section and try to use it, it freezes and fcpx stops responding till i force quit it and start again and when i give it another try the same thing happens again. Please what could be the problem? i am using the current version of fcpx. This problem did not start initially, everything was ok till it just happened and has continued to do so for about two weeks now. Please has anyone here had this problem before and have or know a solution to this. This customs play a key role in my work and i keep reporting to the fcpx team to rectify the problem if its on their part because for each tie i force quit the app, a report box comes up for me to comment on.
