how do I turn off iTunes Match

I got a new phone the other day and shortly after downloaded Apple Music and it has turned my world upside down lol. So im trying to put music from my laptop on my phone by dragging it in iTunes but when I do that it says "the files were not copied because iTunes Match is enabled" so I looked up how to turn it off but when I go to settings then music it doesnt give the option to enable or disable, only to subscribe to iTunes Match. So idk what to do I could really use some help because im rarely home and since you can only listen to Apple Music with wifi it has really limited my options when I wanna listen to music and that is a big problem. Please help
