WIFI slow when coming out of Sleep

I've had a look through the online discussions and found 'similar' issue, but not specific to this one.

I'm running a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014) with OS X Yosemite v 10.10.4. My broadband connection is 20Mb up/down. When powering up my Mac, speedtest.com shows I'm getting around > 15Mb down speeds. HOWEVER, when I close the Mac lid (Sleep) and open the Mac again, I'm getting wifi speeds of less than < 0.5Mb down speed. The only way to get wifi data speeds back up to > 15Mb again is to reboot the Mac. Again, this only occurs when the Mac comes out of Sleep mode. I'm stumped, any ideas anyone?

Thx

Might be corrupted network preferences.

Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Type or copy paste the following:

/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration

Click Go then move all the files in the SystemConfiguration folder to the Trash.

Restart your Mac. See if that makes a difference.

Your Mac will generate a new SystemConfiguration folder for you.
