Keynote presentations to iCloud fast?

I usually construct a Keynote presentation on my iMac but present it on my MBP. Most of the time it takes a while for the program to upload to iCloud before I can use it on my MBP. Is there something I'm not seeing or doing correctly as it can take more than a little while for the doc to upload. Any help is appreciated.

What do you call "a little while"? And how large is the presentation? It depends on your connection speed as well as the file size you are uploading, which is usually much, much slower than downloading files.

Copy the Keynote file to a USB memory card then copy on to the MacBook.
