wifi networks gives error of incorrect password?

my 5s wifi connects with hotspots thrown by other phones only but not with local wifi networks gives error of incorrect password??i am confused either its software bug or hardware issue?if its hardware how it is possible that it connects to hotspots only?i think if its hardware issue first it should not catch(show) any wifi if catches then should connect to all provided correct password but my 5s shows local connections but connects with hotspots thrown by other phones only & not with local wifi networks gives error of incorrect pasword?
