In how many days iphone replacement is done by apple in India.

HI, i had accelerometer error in my iphone 6 and apple service centre said that phone will be replaced with a new phone in 1 day. Now on day 2 they are saying that it will take 2 more days. I heard that apple give replacement immediately if they find a genuine error, then why it's so long for me. Have they changed their policy recently.
