Deleting Photos library on just 1 computer?

I have my Photos synced via iCloud on my 2 home computers, and my iPhone and iPad. All is good!

…however, I recently initiated iCloud on my work computer (mainly for Mail, bookmarks, etc) and I mistakenly let Photos get synced too. And BAM my work HD was totally full. No bueno!

So I unchecked Photos in iCloud SysPrefs. But the photos are still there, taking up a ton of space. My expectation was that the Photos would be automatically cleaned up / erased, but they're not?

? Can I safely delete these photos from my work computer? I'm assuming I can, but just wanted to make sure.
