I lost my Samsung s5, how would I be able to retrieve those contacts to my iPhone 6?

I Had just recently lost my Samsung Galaxy s5 with all of my contacts. I had no idea where it was so I got an iPhone 6. It is currently iOS 8.4. I've tried to log into the same google play account on my iPhone but it didn't transfer the contacts. Is there any other way that i could retrieve my contacts from my Samsung to my iPhone? The galaxy is currently turned off but charged.
