When I open mail on my ad it presents a blank mail page and closes itself after 30 seconds without showing old emails or downloading new ones. I have not made any changes and my iPhone and Mac mail work properly. I have rebooted several times and have one gig of memory free.

DDouble tap home button and swipe open apps upwards. Sign out of mail and sign back in. Then do the sleep/ wake and home button restart again.
i closed all the open apps. Not sure how to sign out and back in to mail when it never opens. That would probably work on my Mac but not my iPad. I powered off the iPad and powered it back up, but still nothing.
Settings>mail, contacts and calendar and delete the account from there.
mail closes itself right after opening it
