HTML5 video playback problem after 16th video playback

We are running into a problem with our HTML5/JavaScript web pages on the iPad ever since we've upgraded to the latest version of iOS 8.

The videos are encoded in H.264 in an mp4 format. The videos playback fine until the 17th video is shown. Then we get a black screen with the can't play icon.

The video's don't even have to be played, only loaded. This is an educational content with one to many videos embedded in the educational module, depending on our customer's needs.

We only run into this issue on several Apple's mobile devices with the same iOS 8. 8.3 and 8.4 still have the same problem.

Has anyone else run into this issue?
