my iPad is being redirected to other sites whenever I do a search using yahoo or Google or searching through a site for more information. i have tried the reset but has not really helped. Will let you know I am computer illiterate so that probably doesn't help.

GO to settings> safari> clear all website data and history.
IF the site has a pop up that locks the site, I click and than delete as fast as I can. If no pop up I just delete, some I can delete before they load. It redirects the search. I have gone to safari and cleared data and history, sometimes two or three times a day. Doesn't seem to help.
Have you tried turning on pop up blocker? settings> safari> Block pop ups
Yes, sadly had no effect.
Is this only occurring on Wi-Fi, or cellular, or both? It could be that malware has redirected the DNS server address on your router.

Take your iPad to the library and use their WiFi connection (if it's available). If the problem goes away at the library, your router needs fixing.

TTook the iPad into the library and had no problems! Called my service provider this morning, they came out with a new modem and new password for it. iPad is working great now! Thanks for all the help, you were spot on with the problem. Nice to have my iPad back
Good to know you got it fixed. Disable remote administration on your router and make sure the password (to get into router configuration) is strong enough (12 characters or longer and don't use any word listed in the dictionary).
