How to erase Imac and restore it to factory settings?

I'm giving my Imac away so I am trying to get everything completely removed and restore it factory settings. It is a Mid 2007, 20 Inch Imac. I have tried reinstalling my 10.6.3 Snow Leopard Software, but even when I reinstall this it doesn't erase everything currently on the computer - it just reinstalls the software and leaves everything as is.

How do I go about completely wiping my computer?

You need to use the Disk Utility on the install DVD to erase the internal drive before installing the OS.

Where is "Disk Utility"? When I put in the disk all that comes up in the "MAC OS X INSTALL DVD" Window is "Install Mac OS X" then a folder that says "Optional Installs," and another that says "Instructions".
