How do you put back your itunes playlists to your itunes

I bought a new computer, ahd everything backed up onto an external hard drive. Everything went onto my new computer except the playlists.

They are still on my Ipod Classic, now how do I get them from my Ipod back into my itunes folder. I now have windows 8, not sure if that matters?
