Q: "cannot complete action" when sharing location for family sharing

Re: Family Sharing (iPad air)

I sent invitation to daughter for Family Sharing , she accepted and the install progressed to "Share your location" "Cannot Complete Action"message appeared. This happened several times. What is preventing her from sharing location.

MacBook Air (13-inch Mid 2013), iOS 8.1.2

I arrive at that screen and I click on either on ,I receive the cannot connect message. Try later. All progress stops.

Have you tried in another location or after temporarily turning wifi off.

I brought the iPad to my house , shut off wifi, rebooted iPad turned wifi back on, accepted invitation and the result was the same "cannot complete action"

I recall there is an option to add the person from the organisers device, does this work for you.

When you add a family member you are given the option of sending them an invite or setting it up on your own device.

My device was being backed up to the computer instead of iCloud. I found that once I changed the setting so that it was backing up to iCloud I was able to proceed successfully and complete Family Sharing.
