I use a HP 6525e all in one printer. It worked fine for 3 years. Now, it has decided not to print the black ink, but all other colors work fine. Any suggestions?

What have tried? A new cartridge maybe?
Check to see how much black ink is available.
Open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners then select the Print tab then click Options & Supplies then click Supply Levels.
I have replaced the black ink cartridge. The old one still had ink. I ran the clean heads functions. I removed all 4 print cartridges and manually cleaned the print heads per a video I found in the HP support community. Nothing has worked for me.
With everything you have tried, it sounds most likely to be a problem with the print signal getting to the cartridge. You might want to see what what HP Service has to say about it.
This is a common issue with 6520/6525 printers. If the clean system tool does not fix the issue then you will have to buy a new printer. The print head for this series of printers is not replaceable. If you got 3 years of use you are very lucky.

Download and re-install the printer driver software. That fixed it for me. You don't have to replace the printer yet, as some people suggest.
