Q: size of backup does not make sense

The size of my backup is over 5GB, however, when I go to manage storage, the only thing I have backed up is photos, which is only about 1 GB.  How do I figure out what's in the other 4GB?  See screenshot.

    Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

     

    I understand that you are not seeing as much available space in iCloud as you would expect. In this situation there are two different articles I would suggest reading over. 

     

    The first article attached below explains what is backed up when using iCloud. This may provide some more useful information to you as to what all is included in that backup.

    The next article below explains how to manage your iCloud storage. I know you are only backing up one application, but the information located in this article may provide some helpful information on freeing up some more space.
