I had a hard drive crash. I have installed a new one and I cannot reload movies purchased from sources other than iTunes. When I attempt to do so I get this message; "This code has been redeemed" I tried searching the web and communities with no luck.

See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device (or purchase history).
If your code provided you with an iTunes movie then you should see the item in your purchase history, unless the copyright holder has since removed the item from the store. If was for a different scheme then you need to talk to customer support for that service, but in general these are one time redemption codes. Whatever the method of purchase/download you should have maintained a backup of your library in preparation for just such an eventuality.
