Can't add my new computer while iPhone still accessing old computer library.

Can't authorize my new computer while iPhone still accessing old computer library. How do I add my new device so it shows up in my iTunes account?

Please explain.

Authorizing your computer has nothing to do with your iPhone.

Make sure you have copied everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one, then sync your iPhone to the new computer.

Thanks for your reply RG...it turned out I had to close down the iTunes library on my old imac and reboot. Everything had already migrated well, and I had even accessed iTunes previously with no problem. Some of it will remain mysterious. It's all worked out, but I feel the web has been a little slipperier than usual this week. Comcast outages, MS upgrades, etc.
