I downloaded and installed an app on my iPhone 5S.
Two icons appeared on my screen; one was fine but the other was faded.
Holding down the good icon, all the icons shimmied and I deleted the icon.
The bad icon is still there. Holding down the button does nothing.
How do I clear it from my screen?

Know that you have deleted the good app my advice would be to restart the device and it should remove the "Ghost" icon for you. You would restart the phone my holding the Home Button And the power button down at the same time and the screen with go black, let go when the apple logo comes back up on your screen. this should fix your problem. you wont lose any information of the phone when you to this reset.
Settings > General > usage > manage Storage >.Find the app and hit delete
bryan.vance, thanks for the reply. apparantly when i deleted the "good" app icon, it did remove the app. i did what you suggested but the "ghost" remains.
