ipod touch bluetooth

Hi,

I have an iPod Touch 2nd Gen 16GB,
It can connect to WiFi networks perfectly, but Bluetooth does not work when trying to connect to a Sony ultra portable bluetooth speaaker.
It has an address under 'About' and I can turn it on, but it just keeps searching for devices without discovering any.
Any ideas or help appreciated.

Try:

Try the following to rule out a software problem:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset the BT speakers. How yo do it depends upon the speaker but frequent holding down the Power button untill the light flashes resetsthem.

.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: How to back up

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
