The title says it all. I'm considering switching my broadband provider but keeping my existing email address. Do I have to make any alterations to my settings on either my iPad and/or MacBook Pro? If the switch to the new provider isn't 100% smooth my wife will give me ****.
You shouldn't need to do much, apart from selecting your new wifi network (assuming that you are getting a new router) and entering its password : Settings > Wi-Fi on your iPad ; wifi icon at the top edge of your Mac's screen or System Preferences > Network > Network Name.

Has your Email Address got the name of your current Network provider
If it has i would change to Google mail or some other Email Address
It is always better to have a few Email Addresses .

Many thanks for that, Brian, and yes - my email address does include my current network provider as the whole purpose of keeping my current email address is NOT to disrupt our communication status quo.
