Aug 5, 2015 6:36 AM in response to Ralph Landry1by akshayfromnew delhi,I meant, does it store a second copy on the Mac? Problem is, my mailbox is getting too large. i tried deleting a lot of emails from Mailboxes, but overall size of the ~/Library/Mail is not getting reduced.

Aug 5, 2015 6:41 AM in response to akshayfromnew delhiby Ralph Landry1,Mail does not automatically retain copies of messages when they are deleted. Have you empties the trash after deleting messages? You have to go to your account, Trash, then go to Edit and Select All, then in Edit, Delete to actually remove all of the deleted email.
