How do I assign a keyboard shortcut or a function key to a key that is not on my laptop keyboard, such as the END key?

On a Mac laptop,

Thanks, but only the fn-up arrow and fn-down arrow work for me in Excel. The left and right do not work. In Numbers, they do work that way, so maybe this is an Excel problem.
Office uses some other combinations, I think.
