Q: How do I delete the imported photos from iOS device (iPhone 6)?

I imported all photos/videos from my iPhone, however the storage summary shows as the space is still utilised by photos/videos. How do I free the space once all items imported into Photos app?

iPhone 6, iOS 8.4
