Aug 6, 2015 6:38 AM in response to Aditya_S11by Carolyn Samit,Don't spray a disenfectant on your iPad or on a cloth then apply to the iPad as that results in streaks that are hard to get rid of.
Better to wash your hands prior to using your iPad.

Aug 6, 2015 6:43 AM in response to AJ397by Aditya_S11,Using just a cloth and water will not disinfect it though, I need to remove any bacteria that might cause me to get sick again.

Aug 6, 2015 6:51 AM in response to Aditya_S11by AJ397,If you want to do at your own risk you can use glasses lens wipe. I don't know if it would have any affect on the screen/screen coating though.

Aug 6, 2015 7:06 AM in response to AJ397by Aditya_S11,Will a disinfectant wipe damage the responsiveness of the screen?

Aug 6, 2015 7:07 AM in response to Aditya_S11by Barry Hemphill,DO NOT use chemicals on the device. Your chances of "reinfecting yourself" are very small as things do not live on surfaces for a long period of time.

Aug 6, 2015 7:09 AM in response to Barry Hemphillby Aditya_S11,So will the bacteria that was in my cough that may cause me to get reinfected will not live for long?

Aug 6, 2015 7:10 AM in response to Aditya_S11by Lexiepex,Disinfectant: It will probably not damage the responiveness because that is a capacitive effect, but it may make stains or dull paces on the screen.
I am relatively sure that potential bacteria on the iPad will not be infective to others.

I'm not a doctor but my understanding is that they will die when their environment dries out.

You will not be reinfected.
And others not either as long as they do not lick the screen...

Aug 6, 2015 7:51 AM in response to Lexiepexby Aditya_S11,Yeah, but what about using the iPad and then touching my mouth or nose?

Aug 6, 2015 7:57 AM in response to Aditya_S11by AJ397,Honestly, you will be fine. Just wash your hands after using the iPad if you feel the need.

Aug 6, 2015 8:04 AM in response to Aditya_S11by Lexiepex,Aditya: we are in my vacation home with a lot of children between 3 and 11 years old, about half of them have the most horrible running noses and coughs like all children. They all swim in the same pool and all of them are using the available ipads (10). nobody of the "heathy kids gets infected.
Maybe your bacteria are much stronger but I doubt it.
(don't be like Howard Hughes, the man who locked himself up the greater part of his life, because he was afraid of being infected).

Aug 6, 2015 8:08 AM in response to Lexiepexby Aditya_S11,Yeah, but will water remove the bacteria just in case I might get sick again. My school starts in a couple of days and I don't want to spread anything to other people since I bring my iPad there.
