Q: Notifications keep coming even if I have selected not to mirror iPhone

Even if I have selected not to mirror iPhone notifications, the notifications for several apps keep coming to my Apple Watch. This goes even for apps that I have deleted from my watch.

I have tried "everything" but still the notifications keep coming.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

    Hi Svein

Have you checked on the Apple Watch app on your iPhone:

    > My Watch > Notifications > scroll down and deselect notifications listed under "Mirror iPhone Alerts From"

    > My Watch > Notifications > click on each of the listed Apple apps (starting Activity) and choosing your preferred options?

    Thanks, Jonathan.

Yes, I have done all of that, several times and for all the apps. The notifications still keep coming to my watch. Really annoying. What is left to try, is to hard reset the watch and restore from back-up. However, I'm a bit reluctant to do that in case I loose data.

    Hi Svein

Certainly try a restart and - if that doesn't work - a force restart of your Apple Watch first:

Restart: Press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider; Drag the slider to turn off completely; Afterwards, press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.

Force restart: press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

    Also restart your iPhone.

If you find that neither of those work, then you can unpair and re-pair your watch and iPhone, choosing to restore from the Apple Watch backup on your iPhone when prompted during the set up process. Content is backed up automatically and includes most data and settings (see the exclusions here: Back up your Apple Watch - Apple Support)
