Apparenlty it only works with the Chrome browser. You do not need this plug-in.

Move the pepperflashplayer from the plugins folder to the Trash.

No, it's also needed by Opera (browser), as it's based on the Chrome WebKit.

The file is installed by Adobe when you download flash officially.
