Q: When Will Photos be able to export Albums Correctly In High Definition

Photos does not export to Albums it does do in date order

They say we should backup photos in it complete form but why do we need to back up the program as it does it takes forever I have a large photo library and it takes hours and I have the fastest iMac made by Apple to date and very fast servers.

iPhoto just use to export the photo and you could choose the quality and format you wish to export.

photos needs to be able to do this so we can save just the photo and not the programs what a waste of time and effort I feel like going back to Windows Apple just does some very stupid things sometimes they make it to hard to do a basic job when it should be simple

WHY APPLE GET REAL AND FIX THIS NOW

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014), OS X Yosemite (10.10.4), photos

Photos does do this - there is a Photos forum in the OSX section - but to export originals there is now a separate menu command. File->export->export unmodified original

It sounds like you need an incremental backup like Time machine. There is no reason to constantly re-save files that have been saved.

    Hi Keith

    Wow thank you so much.

Your the Man with the information you gave me this morning I was able to do a full backup of Photos with being in date format

I am very grateful for your help you could teach an Apple Genius a thing or 2 about photos i don't know how many times i have spoken to Apple regarding this problem and they had no answer.

I was able to back them up one Album at a time and at he highest quality possible which is what i wanted to do in the first place and we know you could do that with iPhotos at the click of a button I hope they bring that feature back.

I like to do physical backups once a week at the end of the working week that way i know there done I have 2 12Tb WD My Cloud Servers i can use time machine but old habits never die with me and the second sever is the clone so i know their back up.

I am ever so grateful for your help now all my important data is backed up twice, back when i used Windows i once got a virus that took out the HD and the Backup at once so i keep my servers unmount for add protection.

I thank you again for your help and wish you and your family the very best

    What a relieve

    Thanks Keith.
