Neither of them is having an issue.
It is normal for Apple Watch, the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable and the power adapter to become warm when plugged in to a power source.
Ensure that they are kept in a well-ventilated area and are not covered by anything.

Aug 7, 2015 3:34 AM in response to Jonathan UKby dl4mfn,Thanks Jonathan.
i have still have some doubt.
i use the same charger, the same place to charge and one is absolut cool during charching and the other gets relativ warm. even when the charching is done and the battery fully charched. (overnight).
i guess the temperatur is above 40 degree celsius.
both watches was bought 2 weeks ago.
i'm afraid for the "warm" watch, having stress on the battery and getting an early lifetime failure.
thanks in advance
with best regards
Jürgen

As the support articles explain, Apple Watch and the charger are expected to become warm during charging. If necessary, Apple Watch will also regulate its internal temperature.
The battery is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at 1,000 complete charge cycles. The One Year Limited Warranty includes service coverage for a defective battery.
However, if you are still concerned you can and should contact Apple Support by phone (you have 90 days of complimentary phone support) and ask for their advice:

If you are still concerned after that, you can book an appointment at an Apple Store to have your watch checked.

Sometimes mine is warm when I take it off the charger in the morning; sometimes it's not. Either is pretty normal. But, as Jonathan says, if you're still concerned, take it to have it checked out.
