Have inherited an iPhone 4 which I would like to use with a 4G SIM card. Will it work, please?

A SIM is a SIM. There is no such thing as a "4G SIM card". If the SIM is provisioned correctly, and it's from a compatible carrier, it will work. You will obviously not get 4G service as the iPhone 4 does not contain an LTE radio.
Thanks Tim. I hope you're right 'cos I'm about to commit to a 'special offer' contract that will tie this phone in for 2 years!
If you have any doubts at all, check with the carrier. Why you wouldn't want to use a 4G capable phone, instead of one that's obsolete, is beyond me.
TThe reason why i was given an old phone is because i could not afford a new one. OK? And the 4g offer is one I can afford.
