ok i have an origional ipod nano. i just recently got a new computer too. so when i went to get itunes i got the latest version (its very kool too) and it says that i need an update for my ipod... so i update it. as the update downloads im waitin... and when its finally done downloading it says "firmware file is corrupt." so i dont kno what to do! i mean i havent done anything to it! the same with my sister's ipod nano.
do you have any Internet filters installed on that PC? if so, try running through those instructions again, but disable the filter prior to redownloading the firmware.
(i've seen the "corrupt firmware" message produced by
CyberSitter a couple of times before.)
🙂 excellent news. glad you're up and running again.
apologies for the nosy question, but what make and model of firewall was blocking the software server for you? (i'm trying to get a heads-up on possible culprits with this, apart from CyberSitter.)
I Am prety sure that it was Zone Alarm. dont get me wrong... its a GREAT firwall, i just had to turn it off when i downloaded it... its weird... it never did that before. i guess its only for that certain type of file or something i guess.
