how do I look up iPod nano serial numbers
I need to look up a serial number to find the date the device was manufactured. Is there a process for doing that?

The serial number is engraved on the backside, bottom right of your iPod

Guess I wasn't very clear. I can find the serial number (man those numbers on the back are small!). I want to use the serial number to determine (if possible) when the device was made, manufactured, conjured up out of the soil of central China, however it appeared on this earth. I'm used to doing this with guitars, etc.., but I have no idea whether it's possible with one out of the 4 bazillion Apple devices sold worldwide last week. ;>)
