Q: Activity achievements do not restore to Apple Watch when iphone is unpaired to do ios update

Activity information and achievements are not restoring to Apple Watch whenever it has been unpaired from iPhone in order to update iOS. When update completes and I re pair the iPhone and Apple Watch. The watch only shows a single days worth of activity. Does this seem to be normal?

I Tried erasing iPhone and then restoring from iCloud back up pre iOS update; still no activity data beyond a single day will restore to the Apple watch when re paired with iPhone.
