Q: PCIe x16 slot, no graphics output.

I've just purchased a MAC Pro 1,1 quad, that's been upgraded to an 8core. The CPU's have been replaced by 2 Xenon 2.33 quads. It's got 8Gb RAM and the original Nvidia 7300GT graphics card.

The problem is that the only way to get any graphics output is to install the graphics card in one of the other slots. If it is installed in the correct PCIe x16 slot the monitor remains black then goes to sleep with a 'No signal received' message.

The card works fine in any of the other three slots but only at x1 speed. Is the PCIe x16 slot faulty?

Any help or advice would be appreciated.
