Aug 9, 2015 12:00 PM in response to Zipper12by sterling r,Hi there Zipper12,
It sounds like the alias icon for Pages is opening Photos instead. I would first remove that icon, then re add it from the Applications folder. This article will help you do that:
Mac Basics: The Dock holds your favorite apps, documents, and more
Adding and removing Dock items
If you want to add an application to the Dock, click the Launchpad icon in the Dock. Then, drag an app icon from the Launchpad to the Dock. The icons in the Dock move aside to make room for the new item. If you want to add a file or folder to the Dock, just drag its icon from any Finder window (or the desktop) and drop it on the Dock.
To remove an item from the Dock, drag its icon an inch or more off the Dock and wait a couple seconds. Then release the icon and it disappears in a poof of smoke.
Removing an item from the Dock doesn't permanently remove it from your computer. If you want that item back in the Dock, locate the app, file, or folder in the Finder or Launchpad, and simply drag it back into the Dock.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

Aug 20, 2015 7:38 AM in response to sterling rby curaloucura,I'm having a similar issue and I think this is not clear the initial problem of the user.
Inside the Pages app there's a toolbar with many buttons like Text, Shape, Media and Comment. That Media button allows me to add Photos, Music or Movies. The problem is, the Photos folder only displays photos from the PhotoBooth folder. I do expect to come from the Pictures or to allow me to select a file.
I found a workaround which is on the menu Insert > Choose, I can select the image file I want, but I'd rather use the Media button.
Am I missing something? I never configured anything on Pages, that's exactly how it is since installation and it's my first attempt to insert an image into it.
