Getting iTunes to sound as good as Windows Media Player

Does anyone know how to get iTunes to sound as good
as Windows Media Player 10?
I just bought some Creative 2.1 Surround speakers for
my computer, and the music sounds so much better with
Windows Media Player than they do with iTunes. I have
been playing with the EQ in iTunes but just can't get
the same sound. I believe it is the SRS Wow effect in
Windows Media Player.
Has anyone figured out how to get the same sound?

SRS make a WOW plugin for iTunes but it looks like it is only for Mac, see http://www.srs-store.com/store-plugins/mall/iwow-plugin.asp

They do a Windows plugin as well (of course) but it does not mention iTunes, see http://www.srs-store.com/store-plugins/mall/sas-plugin.asp you could download it and try it, or contact them.

Depending on what music format you are using, you might also be able to add the SAME music files to Windows Media Player as you use in iTunes. I for example have all my music in Apple Lossless and thanks to a suitable directshow filter can also play them in WMP 10. This would also be possible with MP3 and AAC formats.
