Aug 7, 2015 6:05 PM in response to Zeke45by MeaIsabelle,Unfortunately, there is no way to retrieve the texts the blocked person sent while he/she was blocked. However, just as questionasker3 suggested, you may unblock the person, should you opt to start receiving texts and calls from that person again.
If the person you blocked has been spamming you with calls and texts, you could instead turn on the Do Not Disturb function of your phone in order to stop receiving any notifications of texts, and all incoming calls will be sent directly to voicemail. You may still view your messages and missed calls, but you won't be notified so long as your phone is on the Do Not Disturb mode. As soon as you notice that the person has stopped spamming you, you may already turn off the Do Not Disturb function and resume with your daily activities.
I hope this helps!
