Q: We want to load children's educational apps onto our old iPhone 4.  Somehow, in deleting the unneeded apps, we must have deleted the App Store.  How do I load the App Store back onto an iPhone 4?  Thanks for any help you can give.

    Hi Rebecca

It is unlikely that you have actually deleted the App Store, as this is a built in iOS app*.

Instead, it is more likely that you have just hidden it using a "restriction".

    To check this:

    • On your iPhone, go to Settings > Restrictions.
    • In the Allow section, scroll down and check to see whether Installing Apps is disabled and, if so, re-enable it.
      • Depending upon which version of iOS you have installed, the precise naming of the App Store option may differ - but the effect is the same.

    * If you have actually deleted it, you will be able to backup and restore your iPhone, but we'll come to back this if we need to.
