While setting up my new iphone 6 a USB symbol & a red itunes symbol appeared. How do I complete my set up?

Connect your iPhone to iTunes on your computer and proceed from there....

I did try that & itunes said it could not complete until my iphone is set up. Bounced back & forth, argh
