Aug 8, 2015 8:40 AM in response to macmoonby léonie,You can change the titles one by one in the Info panel for a photo by typing into the title fields. Or wait until the new Photos 2.0 will be released in the fall with the next MacoS X version. Then you will be able to batch change titles for several selected photos at once.
Until then batch change the titles and captions in iPhoto before you import the photos Photos.
Or use one of the scripts we have posted in the User Tip section: Photos for Mac User Tips
For example:
Photos for Mac: Batch Change Title to Capture Date-Description-Padded Sequential Number
Photos for Mac: Batch Changing the Titles to the Filename
Photos for Mac: Batch Change the Descriptions
Photos for Mac: Batch Change the Date and Time to a Fixed Date
Batch Changes in Photos for Mac: Change the titles to a Given String
