What difference are there between the normal apple watch and the sport apple watch?
Is the sport apple watch worse as it's a lot cheaper?

only difference between them is the materials they are made from
Functionality and capability wise they are exactly the same
The Sports apple watch only offers silicone wrist bands where as the apple watch has more availability of choices of bands, link band modern buckle, milanese band, leather loop etc

The functional features are the same. The main differences in materials are:

- Apple Watch Sport is anodized aluminium
- Apple Watch is stainless steel
- Display
- Apple Watch Sport is Ion-X glass
- Apple Watch is sapphire crystal
- Straps
- Apple Watch Sport is Fluoroelastimer / Sport Band
- Apple Watch has a choice of bands including leather, Milanese loop or stainless steel link bracelets
