Q: Apple Music.

With the new update (Apple Music) I can no longer listen to the music that I have dowloaded on the internet (Mixtapes). Which is unavailable on iTunes which is probably why I can't listen to it. Wondering if this was a common problem for people? If so is there any way around it. Because as of right now most of my favorite songs are not available on my phone but only on my MacBook.

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.2

    Hey alexbusby,

Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.

It sounds like you signed up for Apple Music but some songs from the iTunes library on your MacBook were not available.

When you sign up for Apple Music, songs from the local iTunes library on your Mac should either be matched to the same song in Apple Music or uploaded to iCloud Music Library.

From Add music from your own collection to your Apple Music library:

When you first join Apple Music, we identify the songs in your personal music collection and compare them to the Apple Music catalog. If we have your songs in our catalog, we make them instantly available to access on all of your devices during your membership. Songs that we can’t identify can be uploaded with iTunes into iCloud for listening on all your devices.

Make sure that you've signed into iTunes on your MacBook with the same Apple ID you use with Apple Music, and make sure iCloud Music Library is turned on. See Check your Apple Music library settings for more information.

    Sincerely.
