Q: Cannot get iMessage to recognize an android number

I Messages has suddenly refused to send messages from my iPad To an android phone.

    You can't send iMessages to an Android device. You can only send usual SMS messages using your iPhone. If you link it with an iPad, you'll be able to type texts on the latter, but it doesn't change the fact that texts are being sent from the iPhone.

    TTry holding the sleep/wake and home button until the apple logo appears. Make sure settings>messages> send as SMS is on.  -AJ

    There is no such setting on an iPad, as iPads cannot send or receive SMS messages without using handoff and an iPhone.
