Hello, I am a budding author and want to publish to iBooks. I am aware of the iBooks Author app but it is only available for MAC users. I have been told that there is a version for PC users too, but I cannot find it. Is anyone able to tell me if such a thing exists, or how I can publish a book to iBooks via a PC?

This inquiry appeared in the old Notebooks> iBook (G3/G4) portable computer ASC area.
However, the question appears to have the same answer it did a few years ago, after a
bit of researching via search engine. There is a book/app offered at Microsoft's own store
whose topic is iBooks Author, but it does not specify if they offer a way to use it in a PC.
Most topics or activity about the use of iBooks Author regarding Windows OS, is dated.
And as Windows transitions to version 10, and Apple's OS X moves on, it's almost any
one's guess. Even this seems outdated, though it says it could work in Windows 10:

Perhaps someone will offer suggestions for alternatives to do a similar function for Windows

It is not possible to publish directly to Apple's iBookstore without access to a Mac by some means. Normally PC users would publish indirectly to the store by using an Aggregator. There is a link to a list of these in the FAQ:

Thanks for this, I too have found various bits of information about ibooks for authors including the Time one, but nothing really about using it via Windows except for that link to the Microsoft site that you kindly included. I would have to upgrade to Windows10 to use this option, so I think I'll wait for some more positive reviews to come out before jumping.

Many thanks for the link to the aggregators, I had found Smashwords and have been looking at them. I'd love to be able to do it all myself if I can rather than using a 3rd party who will also take a cut, but it might be my only option for the time being.

That link has nothing at all to do with using iBA via Windows, which is impossible. It is just for a video tutorial that runs on Windows about how to use the app on a Mac.
Indeed, realised that once I started to really look at it!🙂
